ello, my name is Vera Campion, and here is a little bit about myself:
I came to the United States in 1970 aboard a Dutch cargo ship. Possibly, I have experienced some of the feelings of all the past immigrants, such as intense hope. Indeed when I stepped onto the streets of Manhattan I was overwhelmed by a sense of liberating joy.
As I was searching for happiness I got caught up in taking drugs, seeking personal freedom in drug altered states.
This way of life soon became meaningless and I found myself without any purpose in life. I started painting and enrolled at the Art Students League in Manhattan.
Another painter in the class noticed my severe ups and downs and sold me Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health book.
Today, I study Scientology, paint and exhibit my art and practice my original profession computer consulting. I have a successful marriage and a great son. My husband is staff at the Church of Scientology in New York
City.
