About Myself

H ello, my name is Susan Hayward, and here is a little bit about myself:

I am a working mother of three children. I have been married for over 20 years.

My husband and I discovered Scientology in Perth, Australia.

I had left Canada in 1973 in search of answers. The 70’s were the age of love and searching and a demand for world peace. I had decided that the way to find out about life was to go out and talk to people, people of every nation and lifestyle. I found it fun to step out of the social conventions in which I had been raised and just look at people for what they were.

After travelling around Australia with a friend, I met my future husband in New Zealand and we again travelled around Australia. In Perth, I was in a Youth Hostel and found the person in charge of it was talking some real sense in the area of philosophy. My ear just about stretched across the room to find out what this was all about, but I was too shy to butt in and ask what it was all about.

We moved into a house in Perth where there was this hermit who lived out in the back. He didn’t talk to anyone and we wondered - “what does he do every day?” Gradually this strange hermit began to change, he became less shy and odd and started talking to us. By this time we were so keen to find out what he was doing, that he took just about every individual living in that house to the Church of Scientology. Later, I also found out that the person in charge of the youth hostel was a Scientologist too.

We were so impressed by the fact that this absolute wierdo became a social normal person right before our eyes! His shyness and wierd mannerisms just melted away before our eyes!

At that point I threw away all the meanderings and false answers of the past. My husband and I were married shortly thereafter, the 70’s ethnic went down the toilet and we have been studying or receiving spiritual counselling in the Church ever since.

I had basic secretarial training and have, using the study technology of Scientology, increased my office skills and kept up to date with the fast moving technology of the computer age.

We have been living in Sydney, Australia for the past 20 years and own our own house here.

There isn’t a day that goes by that I do not use Scientology tenets, principles and data to solve the problems of life and increase the survival potential of myself, my family and the company I work for.

I can’t claim to have a perfectly wonderful life where everything is rosy and lovely and flys along perfectly, because let’s face it, in this society the threat of war, crime and economic disaster is ever present. But, can you say to yourself, yes I have a way to resolve each problem as it comes up day by day and improve the survival potential of myself, my family and those about me? If you can’t, then try Scientology. It does have the answers and tools to survive better.[End]
