About Myself

H ello, my name is Lucienne Lane, and here is a little bit about myself:

From the start, I thought about and yearned for things I couldn't see in my immediate environment. I knew there was something more. I was brought up Catholic and loved the time spent in Church to reflect on the spiritual side of life. I thought for a long time I wanted to be a nun. I also wanted to really know about life. When I was 13, sitting in the car that brought me home from school, I listened to the birds chirping on a silent day in early spring, and knew I was not here in this world for the first time. Somehow, my yearning took me more and more away from the practices of the Church. As I grew older, the fulfillment I desired wasn't there. Life had more of an open format as I grew older. I moved to New York, was a model in the garment industry for a short time (most of my careers were for a short time in those years), was a Playboy bunny in New Orleans (short time), travelled and moved around the country a lot and, back in New York, in a drug scene of the 60's.

There was amphetamines, heroin, coke, pot, hashish, etc. There was a variety of people around me, including those with habits and addictions of various kinds. Some people stayed up on amphetamines for days and days. I took drugs, too, but never felt good about it. I thought about my mother and how bad she would feel if she knew. When my husband ran off with a beautiful model, I was in a state of grief and started to use drugs more, especially heroin and amphetamines. After a while, I gave him an ultimatum and he returned. We left for Paris the next day, without many possessions, but him with a heroin habit and I with a "chippie" (small habit).

We kicked our habits in Paris and, after some months in Europe, we found Saint Hill, a major Scientology center located in England. We both joined staff there. I started having regular Scientology processing and feeling more confident and gaining more and more insight into the spiritual nature of myself and, with that, a great spiritual freedom, the one I as looking for. As a staff member, I enjoyed one of the best jobs I have had, as the editor of The Auditor, a Scientology journal. I designed and published the book, Mission Into Time, which recounted L. Ron Hubbard's adventures as he, with a crew of staff members, searched out and tested Mr. Hubbard's recall of past life experiences and places. A lot has happened since then. More auditing and training in Scientology, the birth of a son I am very proud of, work I am proud of, including processing others with Scientology to give them greater spiritual freedom, and helping to establish a school using the study methods of L. Ron Hubbard, more and more abilities gained and a desire to see the world a better and more peaceful place. I look forward to continued spiritual growth and, for you, the same -- and more. [End]
