My Success in Scientology

Scientology, for me, has been the “secret missing ingredient” for enhancing not only my own personal life, but the lives of my family and others around me. I came from a very “disadvantaged” background, growing up in a very poor section of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. When I look at my life today, which is much more ideal than anything I dreamed of as a child, I know with certainty that it would not be possible without an understanding and use of the writings of L. Ron Hubbard.

Here is a brief synopsis of the major successes I have had in Scientology:

     1. My intentions as a child were to be a minister. I still consider myself a Christian, and since Scientology is pan-denominational, it has helped me to obtain an absolute certainty on myself as an immortal spiritual being, and it has given me the tools that I need to help others spiritually. It has helped me, as a Christian, to better understand the teachings of Christ and to USE the concepts the way he would have wanted. Prior to that I “went to Church” and, frankly, had no personal understanding or conviction.

     2. I have quite an ideal family: My wife, Leah, and I will be celebrating the Silver Anniversary of our relationship this year. We have two of the brightest, most able and moral children one could hope for. Maia is 16 and Kelsi is 12. We have managed to completely bypass the “normal” problems of drugs, sex and immorality that plague most families today – and we live in LA! The major reason for this, again, is that we fully employ L. Ron Hubbard’s advice with regard to raising children and running a family. When in doubt, we check what Ron has to say and it is a constant amazement to me that, when you try what he suggests, it WORKS!

     3. I have built from scratch, one of the most successful, multi-million dollar consulting companies in the world. Our 35 staff deliver the administrative technology of L. Ron Hubbard to non-Scientology healthcare professionals around North America. It is a constant source of pleasure and pride to me to see the businesses we work with flourish and prosper despite the ravages of managed care.

     4. I consider it a crime against humanity that most people today are convinced that they cannot have an impact on “mankind.” They are led to believe, mostly by psychiatrists and self-serving politicians, that the world’s problems are just “too big” for the individual to impact. A major win I had early on in Scientology was finding out that I could make a difference. Through my own personal efforts, I have helped to enact legislative guidelines to protect people against electro-shock- treatments, I have helped to defeat legislation that locked up and involuntarily “treated” people who were even suspected of taking drugs. I could go on covering many things including efforts currently to bring down the suppressive income tax, helping the state of education, etc. But, the point and the win is, that YOU the individual DO make a difference. In fact, it is ONLY the individual, working with others, that does make a change.

     5. Health-wise, I am in top condition thanks to Scientology. I have not missed a day of work due to illness for more than a decade. I am 50 years old currently and have more energy than I did when I was 18. I work out several times a week, don’t have a grey hair on my head (and have all my hair). I don’t smoke, drink or take drugs at all, and have absolutely no desire to. At this point, as good as I feel, putting any of that junk in my body would be like taking a poison. My state of mind and spiritual condition are the primary reason for this. I have only seen it improve throughout my Scientology career. I fully intend to have this healthy body in operation for at least another 50 years.
