When my first daughter was about 8 years old I realized that she and I had slipped into the same never ending cycle of conflict that I had with my father till I left home. I couldn't believe it because I thought I educated and treated my children very differently from my parents! But there it was, and I was not going to have it, so I started looking for solutions desperately. Nothing indicated to me until I heard by chance a Scientology lecture on "problems." That opened my eyes and I ventured on my first little course on communication. The data on confronting, plus the drills doing it literally ''woke me up.'' I and my family thrived and the "problem" with my daughter vanished. We are best friends.
