In 1965 I listened to an introductory lecture about man, his body, his mind, and his reactive mind.
Immediately I knew that here was the mystery of life laid bare. Here was the answer to my preoccupation with the purpose of my life on earth.
Why would God create me in a state of helplessness, through a laborious stage of learning for 20 years from grade one to university so that I could earn enough not to die; and then die 50 years later anyhow perhaps as an atheist. Nothing I read, heard or studied made sense of it. I was looking for something, something, I knew there was something! The biggest stumbling block was that I did not know what it was I was looking for but once I knew what was there, I realized what I was looking for. From then on I could make sense of life and free my attention from what had been an eternal mystery. I knew. I knew. I knew.
Little by little I applied the technology of Scientology to living. If I had to tell you exactly what it has done for me, you wouldnt believe me. You really wouldnt. You need to experience it for yourself. You need to take the first little step, and then, as L. Ron Hubbard himself puts it: may you never be the same again.
